Simplicity of the Miracles

 Hey Everyone!

A great week here in the WATAC. Last Sunday President Blatter made an announcement that every morning every missionary has to run or walk a mile. So this week consisted of not only working out every morning but a run on top of a regular work out. Dang it kills me to get back into shape but I'm glad that i am doing it because it is definitely helping the missionary work.

This week we worked hard and lots of success was found. We had the opportunity for some reason to see a bunch of members through knocking and inspiring them to do things. Something that our mission has really been pushing is working with the members of the church. I love seeing members have the desire to share the gospel. One thing that I have noticed as a missionary is that the members don't do that much work but when they do things go a lot better.

I also had the awesome opportunity to go back to the Deschutes River Ward (my last area) and witness and participate at the baptism for the Colvin family. Someone that i have been working with for a really long time! I love their family so much and to see them enter into a covenant with our Father in Heaven was the best thing ever.

Covering two wards makes Sundays hard but Heavenly Father still seems to bless us with people to find and teach as we work on Sundays for a short 2 hours in the evening. This week we knocked on the door of Kirsha. She is way cool and we taught her the whole first lesson and helped her to feel the spirit. It reminded me of the simplicity of the miracles that our Heavenly Father performs and allows us to be apart of. It wasn't something that I haven't seen happen before but this time it helped me to be humble and recognize all of the simple blessings like that one.

We all have the opportunities in our lives. The opportunity to help someone who is in need, to do service for a friend or neighbor, to help someone with their groceries. Whatever it may be we need to be prepared to help and share what we know with others. I know it will bring blessings to our lives. I love you all!!

P.S. While we were doing service we got the chance to take some pretty cool pics in front of this Mustang. Hope you enjoy. (: My hot companion and I! Love that dang kid!

It is a joy

Well being transferred to a new area with new people is always fun. I love the new area. It is cool to be back in Silverdale where I was "born". The people are awesome and the wards are great. Sometimes it just takes a little bit of an extra push which isn't too bad at all. This was a week full of successes. It doesn't always happen this way but when it does it calls for some serious thanking to my Heavenly Father.

We had the opportunity to work hard early in the week and really just get used to each other with there being 3 of us who had never worked together before. It is a joy. Also went on exchanges with the AP's and found out that an investigator from my last area was going to get baptized on Saturday. So we went on exchanges on Friday and then also Saturday since we went all the way down to Yelm again. So that was a ton of fun. I had the opportunity to learn how to be a better missionary and also to witness a baptism. Those are always special experiences. I love being able to attend baptisms.

Then church this week 40 minutes before one of the wards started we called an investigator who had never come before and he came. He got fellowshipped by the Bishop and Stake President and we are going to be seeing him tonight hopefully. Things here are going well and I love my new area.

I hope you all have a great week!
Much love,
Elder Trevor Reynolds

Transfers- Called to go to the Silverdale 1st ward and Brownsville Ward in the Silverdale Stake

Hey everyone!!

We had an awesome week here in the ward. We worked really hard and lots of good things happened. On Sunday we had three young men who came to church and are going to be baptized in the coming weeks. I also had the opportunity to ordain a recent convert to the office of Priest. One of the coolest experiences that I can have as a missionary. I am so grateful for the opportunity to serve here.

On Saturday we got our transfer calls and President called this time. I have been called to go to the Silverdale 1st Ward and the Brownsville Ward in the Silverdale Stake. It will be super awesome to serve there and be able to continue the work going forth. Here in this area there is an awesome new missionary who will bring lots of good things forth and there will be much success here.

I know our Heavenly Father is in the details of our lives. Things are going great and I love this life so much! Thanks for the continued support.

Love,
Elder Trevor Reynolds (:

The Whole Week Was A Good One

This week was a crazy week here in the mission field. The whole week was a good one. We didn't get the chance to get out and tract as much as needed because we were busy. We missed 5-7's 3 times in our area and then we only knock 4 times because we went on exchanges with the District Leader this week as well. I went to the Portland Temple with Davion and that was super cool. I will send pictures with that. The Temple was so pretty and it was cool to be able to perform baptisms for those who are deceased and need the blessings. Going to the Temple is usually the highlight of the week if you get the chance to go, but not this one.

Saturday was the best day of the week. We worked in the afternoon and then at 4:00 we went to the church to fill the Baptismal font. The Baptism for David was Saturday night. The Bishop performed the baptism and the small group that was there made all the difference in the world. It was awesome. We showed a video that is titled baptism by children of the church. I love how simple and profound children have the ability to share what they know. David's Mom who is not a member of the church also came to the Baptism and hopefully we will be able to talk with her more this upcoming week and answer some of the questions that she has and we can help her to feel of the spirit. She came to his confirmation on Sunday as well and asked a bunch of questions that we should be able to answer for her.

On the 4th of July we had a BBQ with a bunch of the missionaries in the zone and I made some Elk Burgers out of ground Elk that we had at our apartment. One of the perks of serving in the boonies is lots of people are big game hunters and they are willing to share so we get big game meats shared with us. We also cooked up a venison shoulder. Those were way good. So I had some interesting things out here in the mission field but not too weird. I love this country and I am so grateful for the freedoms that we share so that I can be here serving a mission and helping others to come unto the knowledge of our Savior and Redeemer. I hope you all have a fantastic week!!
